Berks Arts partners with the City of Reading and Berks County to host free community concerts each summer at the City Park Bandshell.

Concert-goers are encouraged to bring blankets, lawn chairs and, of course, their dancing shoes to City Park to experience great music in a natural setting.

Any weather-related schedule changes are posted on Facebook and announced on local radio stations. Alcohol and smoking are not permitted in City Park. Dogs must be on a leash.

Food Vendors are available on site.

Headline concert starts at 7:00 p.m.

Friday, July 29: David Cedeno & His Orchestra
David Cedeno & His Orchestra will give the series a grand finale on July 29 with their mix of salsa, Latin jazz, merengue, ballads, waltzes and popular 1950s songs with a salsa beat and English words (“Will You Love Me Tomorrow,” “Sealed with a Kiss,” for example). Trumpeter Cedeño and the 14-piece band have released 11 CDs, most recently “Back from Japan.”
